What this covers
This notice explains what Avenue Beauty collects when you join our waitlist at avenue-beauty.ca, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers the waitlist only. The Avenue app will have its own privacy policy before it opens.
What we collect
- What you type into the form: your name, email, and the answers you choose. For clients, the first three characters of your postal code. For providers and brands, your business name, and if you add them, your phone number and website or Instagram.
- Your consent to receive launch emails, with the date you gave it.
- A one-way scrambled version of your internet address, used only to stop spam sign-ups. We cannot turn it back into your address.
- Which link brought you to us, if it carried a campaign tag or a friend's invite code.
Why we use it
- To invite you to Avenue, in the order you joined and by neighbourhood.
- To contact providers and brands about setting up on Avenue.
- To decide which neighbourhoods and services to open first.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Where it is kept
The waitlist is stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider, which may process data outside Canada. Only the Avenue team can see it.
Emails and your choices
We only email you about Avenue's launch and early access, as you agreed when you joined. Every email has a way to unsubscribe. You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and we will do it.
How long we keep it
Until the app opens to you, or until you ask us to delete it. If you never create an Avenue account, we delete your waitlist entry within 12 months of the public launch.
